You can use "Quick Search" or "Advanced Search" interface to search the available records in HWML database.
"Quick Search" is a concise searching interface that could satisfy general searching requirments.
"Advanced Search" provides more functionality for the users who need more powerful searching ability. The users can combine different filters more flexibly, such as collection number range, geographic region, host taxon, etc.
Exact
This choice returns the specimens with the name exactly as you typed in "scientific name" of the parasites or host.
Fuzzy
This choice returns the specimens having the character string you typed as a fragment of their name.
For example, if you use "Fuzzy" search type with a scientific name, "Acantho", the system will return all the specimens having "Acantho" as a fragment of their name. such as Acanthobothrium, Acanthocephala, Acanthocephalus, ...
